Increasing due diligence requirements are shaping how producing countries prepare agricultural value chains for access to European markets. This report synthesises cross-country experiences and lessons from the FIT for FAIR project in Colombia, Cambodia, Thailand, Ethiopia, Rwanda and C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, complemented by regional exchanges across Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It highlights shared challenges and diverse approaches to operationalising and preparing for EU due diligence legislation, including the EUDR and CSDDD. Key lessons concern inclusive and interoperable traceability systems, data governance, legality and land tenure, institutional coordination, financing and digital inclusion. Particular attention is given to ensuring that smallholders and other vulnerable supply-chain actors can participate in and benefit from evolving due diligence systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
