The EU Competent Authorities of Germany and the Netherlands and an operator placing coffee on the EU market conducted an EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) preparedness exercise, facilitated by the European Forest Institute (EFI) through its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/efi.int\/collection\/technical-facility-deforestation-free-value-chains\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technical Facility on Deforestation-Free Value Chains<\/a>. The voluntary exercise simulated checks on the operator\u2019s due diligence system (DD-System) and four coffee shipments, using real-world data and information to replicate actual checks as closely as possible.
