On 18 December 2024, from 9am to 12pm, the Brazilian Bureau of Sustainable Livestock (MBPS) will hold the 4th Sustainable Livestock Forum, which will discuss the prospects and adaptation of Brazilian livestock to the European Union regulation, the EUDR. The event will be broadcast live on the MBPS YouTube channel.
The event will be attended by representatives of the seven links in the livestock value chain, the government, academia and international institutions to debate practices and promote solutions that contribute directly to the development of sustainability in Brazilian livestock farming.
“The Sustainable Livestock Forum is an annual milestone for bringing together all the players in the Brazilian livestock value chain and building more sustainable paths for the sector together. The exchange of knowledge between the different categories and dialogue on the challenges are fundamental steps for the growth and adaptation of our production to the new global scenarios, ‘ said Ana Doralina, president of MBPS.
The programme will include two round tables, where farmers, researchers and professionals in the field will have a space to discuss in depth the main issues impacting the sector and propose innovative solutions.
“The dynamic format of the round tables allows for a direct and enriching exchange of experiences and perspectives between the participants, promoting collective and practical learning. This is an unmissable opportunity for anyone interested in actively contributing to the development of sustainability in livestock farming,’ said Michelle Borges, executive manager of MBPS.
It will be a unique opportunity to expand knowledge, share experiences and incorporate practices that will have an impact on the future of farming. Take part and be part of the solution!
In partnership with the Solidaridad Foundation, this event is part of the SAFE (Sustainable Agriculture for Forest Ecosystems) project, led by the German co-operation GIZ Brasil, which has the support of the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ), and is being supported by MSD Saúde Animal.
