EUDR dry runs for beef and soy supply chains in 4 Mercosur countries – Experiences, Results and Discussion

Webinar | 26th March | 10h30 – 12h00 (BRT time)

The event’s aim is to build on the insights and progress achieved during the previous workshops, where challenges and advancements in traceability and compliance with the EUDR were addressed, through dry runs to test EUDR in each country by several institutions. The proposed webinar aims to further explore the dry runs for beef and soy supply chains in Mercosur developed in each of the four member countries, inviting at least one representant of each country to share an extract of the dry runs. Whilst several stakeholders are involved, our objective is to share these results with a broader Mercosur and possibly European audience, expanding the borders of our knowledge. By sharing our collective expertise and experiences, we hope to reinforce, advance, and improve our market regulation compliance efforts, ultimately benefiting our national systems and delivering broader socio-environmental benefits to local producers, communities and industries. What are the additional benefits that this movement is delivering beyond EUDR compliance? How ready are Mercosur countries to comply with the EUDR, considering the 1 year of postponement? Please comment 1 point of attention that should be shared with EU Comission and National Competent Authorities;
