Team Europe Initiative on Deforestation-free Value Chains

The TEI Zero Deforestation Hubs’ delegation trip aims to facilitate an exchange among EUDR implementing partners of the Global South with key European stakeholders involved in the operationalisation of the EU-Regulation. The visit will focus on clarifying open questions, fostering dialogue on an equal footing, building mutual understanding and trust and enhancing international partnerships. The visit will focus on key value chains relevant for the region: cocoa, coffee, cattle, soy and palm oil. Discussions will centre on cooperation structures between LATAM countries and the EU, exchange of national approaches for EUDR compliance, and challenges and opportunities related to market access and exports. Additionally, the trip will facilitate business matchmaking opportunities, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders.
