Private Sector Workshop on EU Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products (EUDR) Readiness in Indonesia 

This event gathered Indonesia’s private sector stakeholders to discuss action plans and commitments to prepare for EUDR implementation, as a follow up of the previous commodity-specific FGDs and cross-commodity workshop on EUDR.

Following the opening by the EU Delegation to Indonesia, presentations covering findings from the previously conducted sessions from Saka Dala, mainly on cocoa, coffee and natural rubber followed by the result summary of the EUDR-related legality study by CrestPent, IPB University. Insights were shared on how operators are preparing to comply with EUDR when sourcing from Indonesia. Panelists from the Ministry of Agriculture, Continental Tires Holding, GAPKINDO, SCOPI, and ASKINDO discussed progress, gaps, and steps for EUDR readiness by private sectors.
