Learn more Green Financing In partnership with Climate & Company and partners at the country level, a sustainable finance think tank, SAFE aims to mobilize financial resources, particularly for vulnerable groups, and enhance gender-transformative financial frameworks to support investments in deforestation-free value chains. Private Sector Cooperation SAFE collaborates with private sector companies to enhance market access for smallholders, promote sustainable farming methods, and simultaneously protect adjacent forests. SAFE partners with both international and local companies to support them and their suppliers to transition to deforestation-free value chains. Learn more Regional Technical Dialogues SAFE facilitates knowledge-sharing and solution-oriented dialogues beyond country implementation in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Central Africa to promote cooperation and learning on sustainable, legal and deforestation-free supply chains. Through virtual and in-person formats, including field visits, trainings, and roundtables, these dialogues further collaboration and co-create knowledge. Learn more Digital Public Infrastructure Together with FAO, ITC, EFI’s Technical Facility and DIASCA, SAFE is promoting and piloting interoperable, open-source tools that integrate field boundary mapping, forest monitoring, and traceability systems. These tools help farmers meet regulatory requirements while enhancing transparency and sustainability across agricultural supply chains. Learn more Gender Equity and Social Inclusion In partnership with CIFOR-ICRAF, SAFE is developing a Training of Trainers program to address the impacts of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) on vulnerable communities. This collaboration reinforces inclusive policies and empowers local communities through knowledge sharing and capacity building. Additonally, SAFE aims to pilot solutions towards more equitable agricultural value chains in the project countries. Learn more Civil Society Strengthening SAFE partners with civil society organizations such as Solidaridad, SNV, FERN and others, recognizing the mutual benefits of collaboration in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, community development and monitoring of deforestation. These partnerships provide technical assistance and training in agroecological practices to rural producers, and support for geolocation mapping and traceability, with a strong emphasis on empowering women leaders and indigenous groups.
