Ghana is one of the world\u2019s leading cocoa producers, accounting for approximately 15\u201320% of the global supply and supporting over 1.5 million farmers. However, this vital sector faces complex challenges, highlighting the need for coordinated action and stronger collaboration across cocoa-producing countries and stakeholders.<\/p>

In this context, the European Union together with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Investment Centre, under the EU Sustainable Cocoa Programme and Initiative<\/em>, are financing and providing technical support to the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), <\/em>as it launches a multi-stakeholder platform designed specifically with a focus on cooperation, coordination, dialogue and collective decision-making across the cocoa sector.<\/p>

The platform, the Ghana Cocoa Monitor (GCM)<\/em>, will facilitate the establishment and nurturing of public-private partnerships for the development and implementation of national cocoa plans, serving as a gateway to ensure that cocoa production aligns with sustainability policies and standards.<\/p>
