Throughout 2024, the virtual cycle ‘Dialogues on sustainable cocoa’ was organised by AL-INVEST Verde in collaboration with the SAFE programme (Sustainable Agriculture for Forest Ecosystems) of the German Cooperation GIZ and the technical support of the European Forest Institute (EFI). The closing session of the cycle took place from 1 to 3 October in Ecuador, with activities in Quito and Tena, in the Amazon region. This structure facilitated interaction between European authorities and representatives of the public and private sector in Latin America, generating spaces for dialogue to address how cocoa supply chains can adapt to these new standards. This document presents the conclusions of the closing event.
