This report presents the outcomes of a stakeholder consultation in Yaoundé on legal due diligence for Cameroonian cocoa under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The workshop identified relevant national legal requirements and assessed their implementation for EUDR compliance, covering land tenure, environmental protection, labour, human rights, fiscal and trade regulations. Recommendations address risk management, verification methods, and sector challenges such as informal practices and data gaps. The findings support the development of national guidelines for operators and authorities, aiming to harmonise approaches and facilitate legal compliance for cocoa exports to the EU.
