Developed as part of the FIT for FAIR project, the report provides policy recommendations and a national roadmap to support the preparation of Thailand’s supply chains for evolving due diligence requirements by creating an enabling policy and legal environment.
Using a multi-stage, participatory methodology, it diagnoses structural gaps, such as fragmented data, weak interoperability, unclear institutional roles, and smallholder capacity constraints, and proposes five pillars: a unified digital traceability platform; human rights due diligence with worker registration, enforcement and grievance systems; environmental due diligence through eco-industrial practices and context-appropriate certifications; capacity building for farmers, SMEs and exporters; and a centralized data repository with a Due Diligence Help Desk.
A phased implementation plan (2026–2029) aims to strengthen transparency, improve coordination, reduce compliance risks, and enhance the resilience and competitiveness of Thailand’s supply chains.
