This report details the fourth technical group meeting on legal requirements for cocoa production and trade in Cameroon, in the context of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The session validated relevant national legal requirements across land tenure, environmental protection, labour, human rights, fiscal and trade domains, and discussed their practical implementation and risk levels. The group agreed on a pragmatic, streamlined approach to due diligence, emphasising existing procedures and minimising administrative burden for operators. The findings will inform the development of guidance for legal compliance and risk management in Cameroonian cocoa exports to the EU.
