Cocoa Insight: Preparedness check for Côte d’Ivoire for the EU Deforestation Regulation

This preparedness assessment report evaluates Côte d’Ivoire’s readiness to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) concerning cocoa production. The report reviews existing national policies, traceability systems, and legal frameworks related to the EUDR requirements. It highlights current capabilities and identifies challenges, particularly in terms of traceability, legality, and deforestation criteria compliance. The document aims to inform and guide stakeholders on the necessary steps to align with the EUDR by its enforcement dates in 2024 and 2025.
