The Free and Open-source Tools Explainer: an interactive catalogue designed to help supply chain actors navigate the different technological tools developed primarily within the Team Europe Initiative for Deforestation-Free Value Chains (TEI). These tools support users in areas such as deforestation risk, geolocation, legality risk, and traceability, helping them along their journey towards more sustainable supply chains.
Beyond guiding users through the available tools, the Explainer also helps them understand the underlying data pipeline, how information flows between the different components, and how to interpret and make the best use of the knowledge each tool provides. The Explainer is being developed by European Forest Institute (EFI) in close collaboration with the TEI partners and brings together the tools and expertise contributed by all TEI partners, including EFI.
