GFOI Plenary 2025: Forests and the marvel of monitoring

The Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI), together with the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry, are pleased to announce that the GFOI Plenary 2025 will take place from 21–23 October 2025 in Bali, Indonesia, and online.

The GFOI Plenary is the major global gathering for countries, donors, development partners and practitioners working in the forest monitoring sector. Discussions will focus on the role of international cooperation in improving forest monitoring capabilities in tropical countries to enable better forest management, climate action and preserve nature.

From 3 to 7 November 2025, TEI flagships and their project partners from Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe will gather in Altamira, Pará, Brazil, to foster dialogue, knowledge transfer, and networking among regions, sectors, and initiatives. The aim is to learn from each other and collaborate on deforestation-free value chains.
Eurotrip for Asian Partners

The trip will facilitate an exchange between EUDR implementing partners from African countries and key European stakeholders involved in the operationalisation of the EU-Regulation to clarify questions and build mutual understanding and partnerships.
