On the Finish Line Towards EUDR: Challenges & Opportunities for Effective Implementation

Networking event in the context of the FONEI working group on deforestaton- and conversion-free soy supply chains

The aim of the event is to promote exchange between relevant actors from business, politics and civil society and to enable a broad knowledge transfer of experts on the practical implementation of deforestation- and transformation-free supply chains. The focus is on the latest developments around the EU Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products (EUDR). Based on new study results, challenges and opportunities in the implementation of deforestation-free, EUDR-compliant soybean supply chains are addressed. This time, the focus is also on the inclusion of Brazilian stakeholders’ perspectives on the implementation of the regulatory framework.

The event will be held mainly in English. Simultaneous translation into Portuguese is available.

The trip will facilitate an exchange between EUDR implementing partners from African countries and key European stakeholders involved in the operationalisation of the EU-Regulation to clarify questions and build mutual understanding and partnerships.
