Supply chain risk tools

Join this online webinar, organized by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) and co-hosted by SEI York’s Sustainable Consumption and Production team. Explore how the Global Environmental Impacts of Consumption (GEIC) indicator and ENCORE can help you understand and manage risks in global supply chains.

Global supply chains under pressure

Around half of the food consumed in the UK comes from other countries, making the continued flow of goods through global supply chains essential. Long-term pressures such as climate change and biodiversity loss can affect countries’ ability to grow and process resources, while recent international conflicts have highlighted the short-term fragility of these supply chains.

Tools that map global supply chains and the environmental impacts linked to production and consumption can help countries like the UK understand and manage these risks.

What to expect at the webinar

During the webinar, developers of the Global Environmental Impacts of Consumption (GEIC) indicator and ENCORE will introduce the tools and explain how they can inform policy and supply chain risk management.
