This publication, convened by the Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP), PISAgro, Solidaridad Indonesia and Malaysia, and the Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA), presents the outcomes of Regional Technical Dialogue #4 on strengthening traceability solutions for regulatory compliance and market competitiveness. The report examines traceability gaps in Indonesia and Malaysia, highlighting the importance of Digital Public Goods, Verified Aggregation, and interoperable systems to maintain smallholder inclusion under evolving EU market requirements. Findings show that technology alone is insufficient without institutional innovation and formalized supply chain actors. The publication offers practical recommendations for governments and private sector stakeholders to build inclusive, real-time, and scalable traceability systems.
