The Deforestation-Free Trade Gateway has been added as flagship of the Team Europe Initiative

The Deforestation-Free Trade Gateway has been added as a flagship of the Team Europe Initiative on Deforestation-Free Value Chains. The digital platform is designed to help producers meet international sustainability standards.

Developed with support from Sweden (via Sida), Canada, Germany, Ireland and Switzerland, the Gateway empowers smallholder farmers, cooperatives and exporters to comply with new regulations such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). It offers tools for geolocation mapping, risk analysis and traceability, ensuring producers can access global markets without contributing to forest loss.

The platform is already in use across Africa, Asia and Latin America through ITC’s technical assistance projects.
