The Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA), in coordination with the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI), has entrusted AL-INVEST Verde / Component 2 with the development of the EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogues for the period 2025-2026, in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). These dialogues are organised as strategic spaces to strengthen exchange and cooperation that promote the sustainable transition objectives pursued by both regions. This cycle of EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogues begins by addressing the issue of sustainable livestock farming, with an event entitled “Strategies and instruments to promote sustainable livestock farming in the EU and LAC”, held virtually on 13 May 2025, with the aim of promoting mutual understanding of the strategic, regulatory and technical frameworks that guide the transition towards more sustainable livestock systems. The second event held in-person in San José, Costa Rica, on June 25 and 26.
