This report summarises stakeholder consultations held in Abidjan on the Ivorian legal framework for cocoa production in relation to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The workshop aimed to identify relevant national legal requirements and discuss their practical implementation for compliance with EUDR, focusing on rural cocoa production. Key topics included land use rights, environmental protection, labour standards, third-party rights, human rights, fiscal and trade regulations, and the role of ARS 1000 certification. Recommendations were made to address gaps in legal enforcement, data availability, and sector formalisation. The outcomes will inform a reference guide for due diligence and risk analysis.
