The Tropical Forest Alliance Southeast Asia (TFA-SEA), Partnership for Indonesia Sustainable Agriculture (PISAgro), Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP), and Solidaridad Network Asia – under the global Sustainable Agriculture for Forest Ecosystems (SAFE) project – invite you to the sixth and final Regional Technical Dialogue (RTD)
As the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) moves toward full implementation by end of 2026, RTD#6 brings together key stakeholders from Indonesia, Malaysia, and further Southeast Asian countries to share practical lessons from so-called EUDR Dry Runs which were organised by the European Forest Institute (EFI). Dry Runs are voluntary simulations that focus on two main components: due diligence statement submissions in the EU IT system and the assessment of operator’s due diligence systems through simulated checks by EU Component Authorities – including geolocation data quality, documentation review, risk assessment and traceability to the plot level, among others.
The dry runs create a safe space for dialogue and shared learning – helping operators, supply chain actors, and competent authorities identify data gaps, clarify expectations, and document good practices without legal consequences.
With Indonesia and Malaysia at the centre of global palm oil, rubber and cocoa supply chains, RTD#6 will present findings from Dry Runs and will demonstrate how deforestation-free and legally compliant production can be demonstrated in practice – and what credible, feasible due diligence looks like under the EUDR framework.
