The EU Regulation on Deforestation-free products (EUDR) raises interesting discussions of environmental informational sovereignty for countries such as Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. This report intends to contribute to this by analysing the potentialities and limitations of the existing national systems. These three countries have a history of livestock production and compete for similar markets, but also develop different export strategies and, above all, are familiar with hugely different environmental conditions. This report intends to contribute to the intense regional debates on livestock viability and environmental monitoring that the EUDR is sparking.
