Alliance for Integrity, together with FIT for FAIR — projects implemented by GIZ — and in partnership with our strategic ally amfori, we invite you to participate in this webinar on human rights and environmental due diligence in agricultural supply chains.
Due diligence has become a key topic for companies participating in global value chains, especially in the agricultural sector. Today, international markets require not only quality and supply capacity, but also evidence that products are not associated with risks such as deforestation, child labour, forced labour, impacts on communities, land-related conflicts, labour informality, or environmental impacts. In this context, European regulations such as the CSDDD and the EUDR are raising standards for traceability, transparency and risk management for companies, suppliers, associations, cooperatives and producers.
During the session, companies from the sector will share their experiences, challenges and opportunities in the implementation of due diligence processes, traceability, responsible supplier management and sustainability in agricultural supply chains.
You will learn about:
- The importance of human rights and environmental due diligence for the agricultural sector.
- The challenges and opportunities brought by new European regulations.
- Good business practices in agricultural supply chains.
- amfori’s guide, “The agri-food journey from box-ticking to real resilience”, a tool to move towards more practical, integrated and risk-based due diligence.
This will be a space to learn, share experiences and reflect on how to strengthen more responsible, sustainable agricultural supply chains that are better prepared for international markets.
The webinar will be held in Spanish.
