The Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Sprint is a collaborative, friendly-competitive initiative for development agencies, companies, NGOs, and governments to embed gender equality and social inclusion. Originating in the SAFE programme to address intersectional barriers in deforestation-free agricultural value chains, it supports implementation across broader sectors. Teams undertake a 12–18 month cycle of analysis, design, implementation, and reflection to remove context-specific obstacles, either during planning to build inclusion from the start or during implementation to reset strategies. The guide offers steps, tools, and templates to advance inclusion of women, youth, Indigenous peoples, and persons with disabilities.
