The EUDR Legality Study analyzes how Indonesian laws align with the European Union Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR), which mandates deforestation-free, legally produced, and traceable commodities. Focusing on cocoa, coffee, rubber, and timber, the study maps national and sub-national regulations across ten EUDR indicators, including land use rights, environmental protection, labor and human rights, and Indigenous Peoples’ rights.
It highlights regulatory strengths and gaps, especially in land tenure and customary land recognition. Recommendations are provided for producers and smallholders to support compliance. The study serves as a non-binding guide for due diligence and policy development.
